WASHINGTON, D.C.—Every play counts with the new $5 Washington Commanders scratcher and the Washington Commanders Expander e-Instant games that can be enjoyed in-store or online, respectively. The DC Lottery has again teamed up with the NFL’s Washington, D.C. franchise to offer players a spirited scratcher game with exciting cash awards totaling over $1.2 million and once-in-a-lifetime second-chance prizes, including 2026 season tickets. Plus, there is an e-Instant game with top prizes of $150,000, and opt-in second-chance opportunities to win team gear, tickets to upcoming home games, and 2026 season tickets.

Launched Wednesday, August 6, and available at DC Lottery retailers where scratcher games are sold, the new officially licensed scratcher features two scenes that are sure to be collector’s items for dedicated sports fans. The first of the two emblematic cover scenes spotlights the bold and singular “W”; the second highlights the protective armor of the Commanders’ helmet emblazoned with the team’s logo. Both proudly announce the ticket and its elevated top prizes to potential winners.

In addition to the scratcher’s instant cash prizes, from August 6, 2025, through February 8, 2026, non-winning tickets can be entered, to win one of five second-chance prize packs for unique experiential prizes, including:

  • Drawing #1 on August 27, 2025: Two (2) winners will each receive cash prizes of $1,500, team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets to the home game vs. Las Vegas on September 21.
  • Drawing #2 on September 24, 2025: Two (2) winners will each receive cash prizes of $2,000, team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets to the home game vs. Seattle on November 2.
  • Drawing #3 on October 22, 2025: Two (2) winners will each receive cash prizes of $2,500, team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets to the home game vs. Philadelphia on December 20.
  • Drawing #4 on November 19: One (1) winner will receive a cash prize of $3,000, team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets for a spectacular VIP Game Day Experience with pre-game field passes and a meeting with team alumni for the home game vs. Dallas on December 25.
  • Grand Prize Drawing on February 11, 2026: Two (2) winners will each receive cash prizes of $5,000, team gear, one parking pass and a pair of premium sideline Club Level tickets to each preseason and regular season Washington Commanders home game during the 2026 football season. 

The virtual field of play extends online to DC iLottery and the official DC Lottery app with the Washington Commanders Expander e-Instant that boasts top prizes of $150,000 and its own rewarding series of second-chance opportunities. From August 6 through October 21, players can opt in and play $25 or more on the Washington Commanders Expander e-Instant during each draw period to be eligible for entry into the e-Instant’s three second-chance drawings. Prizes include:

  • Drawing #1 on September 9, 2025: One (1) winner will receive team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets to the home game vs. Chicago on October 13.
  • Drawing #2 on September 29, 2025: One (1) winner will receive team gear, one parking pass, and four tickets to the home game vs. Denver on November 30.
  • Drawing #3 on October 29, 2025: One (1) winner will receive team gear, one parking pass, and two tickets for a spectacular VIP Game Day Experience with pre-game field passes and a meeting with team alumni for the home game vs. Dallas on December 25.

The launch of the officially licensed Washington Commanders scratcher and e-Instant games marks DC Lottery’s third partnership with the professional football team representing the nation’s capital. The first collaboration was the Washington Touchdown scratcher that debuted in 2019, followed by the Washington Football Team scratcher and e-Instant games in 2021.

For even more ways to win, the Washington Commanders are promoting their Lucky Fan sweepstakes from August 6 through August 13, 2025, for the following prizes:

Ten (10) winners will each receive a $200 team store gift card, and four (4) Club Level tickets to a Washington Commanders home game.
